Since all travel plans so far this year have been put on pause, getting extended the invitation to be the first ever guest to experience the Presidential Suite at the new Hyatt Regency Frisco – Dallas proved to be an extra fun staycation. Fun fact: My parents moved to Frisco, TX in 1998, about a year after I was born. Then, it was just a small farm town with one train stop and one highway that connected Frisco to Dallas. It’s been extremely neat to watch my hometown grow into the trend-setting, sports capital, city that it is today. Today, Frisco is home to six professional sports teams including the Dallas Cowboys, FC Dallas, Frisco Roughriders, Frisco Fighters, Texas Legends, and the Dallas Stars. It’s no surprise that Hyatt decided to plant roots here as well.
The new Hyatt Regency Frisco – Dallas is just steps away from Stonebriar Mall next to Nordstrom, and a short drive away from The Star, stadiums, nightlife, and convention centers. The Presidential Suite is their largest suite with 1,300 square feet of living space on the top floor and is complete with floor to ceiling windows that provide views all the way to downtown Dallas. The upscale bathroom may have been my favorite space in the suite. I’m a sucker for free standing tubs and it also had a huge shower + double vanities with excellent lighting, a great space to pamper and prepare for events ahead. The dressing area between the bedroom and bathroom was well thought out, too, with plenty of storage for clothes and shoes plus a huge full length mirror.
We had fun playing bartenders with a complimentary set up of their signature mango-jalepeno margarita’s in-room, and enjoyed the comfortable living space before heading out for our dinner plans that evening.
The Hyatt Regency has done a beautiful job of opening during a pandemic. I can’t imagine the challenges that they have faced, but they’ve still managed to provide a welcoming, calm atmosphere while having all COVID-19 precautions in place. We will definitely visit again once things normalize!
Speaking of visiting, the hotel is currently offering a special summer rate of $99+tax for standard rooms through Labor Day using code FRIS99 when booking.
